Evil ⧸ Verse 121

Let no one think lightly of evil, saying:
"Twill not come nigh to me":
By drops of water falling
Is the water-pitcher filled;
The fool is filled with evil,
Though little by little he gather it.
English translation by Albert Edmunds, from Hymns of the Faith (Dhammapada) (1902).
