Attānaṃ ce piyaṃ jaññā rakkheyya naṃ surakkhitaṃ
Tiṇṇamaññataraṃ yāmaṃ paṭijaggeyya paṇḍito

If you hold yourself dear,
then you ought to protect yourself well.
One who has crossed over (the flood of samsara),
a wise one,
takes care of himself
during all three watches of the night.
