Happiness ⧸ Verse 207

Walking in company with fools
One suffereth all his life:
Painful the society of fools,
As if with an enemy ever;
But happy the society of the wise,
Like meeting with kinsfolk.
English translation by Albert Edmunds, from Hymns of the Faith (Dhammapada) (1902).
