Tato malā malataraṃ avijjā paramaṃ malaṃ
Etaṃ malaṃ pahatvāna nimmalā hotha bhikkhavo

(Yet, even) more impure than these (evil deeds)
is Ignorance, the ultimate impurity.
Destroying this (ignorance) alone, monks,
be clean, pure and free from (all) impurities.
