Idaṃ pure cittamacāri cārikaṃ
Yenicchakaṃ yatthakāmaṃ yathāsukhaṃ

Formerly this mind wandered about as it liked, where it wished and according to its pleasure, but now I shall thoroughly master it with wisdom as a mahout controls with his ankus an elephant in rut.
