Ye rāgarattānupatanti sotaṃ
Sayaṃ kataṃ makkaṭako va jālaṃ
Etampi chetvāna vajanti dhīrā
Anapekkhino sabbadukkhaṃ pahāya

Those who are dyed with passion follow
The self-made stream, as a spider his web:
When they have cut this too, wise men walk on
Without cares, all pain renounced.
