Candaṃ va vimalaṃ suddhaṃ vippasannamanāvilaṃ
Nandībhavaparikkhīṇaṃ tam ahaṃ brūmi brāhmaṇaṃ

As the moon is pure and without stain,
bright and undisturbed,
so is one in whom all joys are extinct.
I call this one a Brahman.
